Ptr. Paul Ramos Testimony

Being a part of the Project Acts Camp (Forerunner) 2011 was really a great blessing. Even before we went to the camp, there have been hindrances: firstly, the expenses (fare and fee); secondly, the young people’s conflict with their schedules (graduation, clearance completion, etc.); lastly, the lack of preparation. It was only the afternoon of Sunday when my teammates decided to go at it because of different reasons, but God is indeed faithful. He made a way for us to experience HIM through this camp.

I praise God for using me as an encourager. It is both a privilege and a blessing. I thank God for His strength, and though I have weaknesses, He still used me for His glory. Such a lovely picture the young people painted as they pursued the “REAL THING.” As they raise their hands, jump, cry, and sing, I’ve seen how the Lord moved in them. I’ve learned a lot from the pastors I’ve been with, even through our devotions time with them. I know God is preparing me for bigger and exciting challenges in my life. I know God changing me into a person he wants me to be.

There are three things that God has shown me (there’s more).

1. We are one in the Lord. Different churches, denominations, lifestyles, and perspectives, God united us for one purpose – to worship Him.

2. Jesus loves us so much. I believe that the only reason why we exist is because of LOVE. “Faith, hope, and love will remain; but the greatest of these is LOVE.” The story of the Samaritan woman is really heartwarming. This woman, though sinful, hasn’t been rejected by Jesus. Instead, He showed her that she needed a SAVIOR and a REAL LOVER-JESUS. Whatever you are experiencing right now, remember that HE loves you. It is not because of who you are (your past, sins and failures), but because of WHO HE IS.

3. He can and will use us. I’ll forever have this child, Tintin, in mind. She’s the girl with no eyes who sang during our crusade. There are many young people who are complete in body, but are using their bodies for vices and for their own luxuries. This is a reminder for me that my body is solely for His glory and for His use. It’s a decision that we need to make. God can use you, us. He doesn’t look at what we lack of, but He looks for a heart that is willing to follow Him and to be under His Lordship. He can use us in our community, family, school, and respective churches. “Let your light shine before men, so that they will glorify your father in heaven…”

“Don’t let the fire die.”
God bless us all.
To GOD be All the glory!
